Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 14, 2026

This information describes how personal data is processed when using the digital menu of Pizzeria I Vesuviani on menu.pizzeriaivesuviani.it, pursuant to EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable legislation.

Data controller

The data controller is the manager of Pizzeria I Vesuviani, Via Madonnelle, 65, 80030 Castello di Cisterna (NA). For privacy requests, you can contact the restaurant staff or use the official contacts indicated on the website and on the pizzeria’s channels.

Data processed

  • technical navigation data, such as IP address, user agent, time of the request, pages visited and security logs generated by the server;
  • data entered in the forms, such as name, email, telephone, date, event type and number of guests for requests relating to private events;
  • data contained in the summary of the chosen products, saved locally on the user’s device;
  • any messages or content sent voluntarily via digital channels linked to the menu;
  • any data processed by artificial intelligence-based assistance functions, when the user uses or interacts with such functions.

Purposes and legal bases

  • show the digital menu, products, allergens, images, summary and information pages: legitimate interest and pre-contractual measures requested by the user;
  • manage requests sent via forms or contact channels: pre-contractual measures or execution of a user request;
  • ensure security, maintenance, prevention of abuse and correct technical functioning: legitimate interest of the owner;
  • comply with legal obligations, where applicable: legal obligation;
  • use any AI tools to support consultation or management of requests: legitimate interest or consent, when required by the nature of the function.

Cookies and similar tools

At the time of writing this information, the digital menu does not use profiling cookies or advertising analytics tools detected in the site code. Technical cookies or equivalent tools necessary for the functioning of WordPress, security, technical session, administrative management or correct provision of pages may be used.

The menu summary uses the browser’s localStorage, a local storage tool similar to technical cookies: it saves the selected products on the user’s device with the technical key ivm_summary and an indicative expiry of 4 hours. This data remains on the device until it expires or until the user clears the summary or browser memory. They are not used for advertising profiling.

Summary and voluntary submission

The summary serves only to facilitate consultation of the menu. The selected products are not automatically communicated to the venue: they become communicated only if the user chooses to send or share them via WhatsApp, forms, telephone or other available channels.

Artificial intelligence

Any AI functions can process texts, requests or information entered by the user to provide assistance, organize content or support staff. The user is invited not to enter unnecessary particular data, such as detailed health information, except as necessary to report allergies or intolerances to staff. The AI functions do not take decisions with legal or similarly significant effects independently: orders, availability, allergens and reservations must be confirmed by staff.

Recipients and suppliers

The data may be processed by technical suppliers necessary for the operation of the site, hosting, maintenance, email, communication services, social channels or messaging and, if active, suppliers of AI tools. These subjects process the data according to their respective conditions and, when applicable, as data controllers or independent data controllers.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some technical, social, messaging or AI providers may also process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases the transfer takes place according to the guarantees provided by the GDPR, where applicable.

Preservation times

  • local summary: up to approximately 4 hours, unless manually deleted or browser cleaned;
  • technical and security logs: for the time necessary for the security, maintenance and protection of the site;
  • requests sent via forms or contact channels: for the time necessary to manage the request and for any administrative or defensive obligations;
  • data processed by AI tools or third-party suppliers: according to the settings and times necessary for the service, where applicable.

Rights of the interested party

The user can request access, rectification, cancellation, limitation, opposition, data portability, where applicable, and can lodge a complaint with the Guarantor Authority for the protection of personal data.

Security

The site adopts reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data processed. However, no computer system can guarantee absolute security.
